We were able to move into our new home months ahead of schedule, owing to Tony’s excellent organisational skills, whereby every stage of the build, and every contractor would meticulously follow the next, unlike some projects that sit idle for weeks at a time. Koru’s foreman Dan was integral in achieving the high standard of build we expected. Dan was highly skilled, extremely hard working and his attention to detail always impressed me. We approached Koru and were very pleasantly surprised at the professionalism shown by Koru and the way they immediately responded to our requests. We were provided with a weekly update and progress during the build and any issues identified were managed well. All of the Koru team were very polite, introduced themselves and were always applying themselves to the work. It was a pleasure to interact with them. In addition, they always asked our opinion about the work and if we were satisfied. Tony was helpful with all of our questions and gave good advice. We were allowed to be active partners during the building process which was important to us. We were delighted working with the Koru team, we found them responsive, flexible, and genuinely cared for our needs and kept us up to date every step of the way. This was our first time to build new, so we didn’t know what to expect. We were living overseas during the first phase up to lock up stage, Koru provided an app which allowed us to see the weekly progress through images and details of what had been completed. Once we arrived back in Cairns, we still had about 4 months of the build left and Tony was very patient with our frequent visits to the property and questions. Koru was put forward by our building designer and we knew Tony had a leaning toward character homes. Tony presented as a person we could work with. Our build had many challenges largely due to space constraints and Tony tackled each issue proactively in a calm manner to get the right outcome.
